I hope this finds you doing well. Ben has received unbelievable support from all of you. His walls are covered with colorful cards and beautiful works of art. He is so grateful! Each day he is getting stronger and more determined to get better so he can come home. When he was transferred form CHOP to HOP his heart was working at only 5%, today his heart is working at 35% The healing process has been gradual and we take this day by day. With his heart working at 35% he no longer needs a heart transplant and yes, it's a Miracle. I only believe that his heart will continue to get stronger. A few day ago Ben went in for a small operation to have a tracheotomy (an incision in the windpipe to help him breath) until his lunges are strong enough to work on their own, because he is still fighting a infection on his lungs. This has caused him to be unable to talk for a bit but since he got the trech he has started physical therapy and has been improving faster. I believe in time he will fully recover to the Ben we all know and love so much. I ask that you will continue to pray for Ben's full recovery.

Hang in there Boxturtle!
We're all thinking about you!
Remember to be efficient!
Hi Christine. It is Chookie. Your Dad sent me this link. We are glad to see that Ben is making progress. Just want to encourage him to hang in there and trust that God will bring him through as He is the only One that can heal physically and spritually complete. I am at home now and recovering very well after my 12 days in hospital. Thank you so much for your prayers. I am very grateful that I made it through this whole ordeal but is was only the prayers that pulled me through.
Love you lots and all the best.
Chookie, Maggel and kids.
Hooray Hooray for Ben!
Christina, thank you for the miraculous news and wonderful pictures. It makes me so happy to see all the love and support Ben has received. The prayer chain here is still strong, and praying for Ben's extraordinary heart to get stronger and stronger! Prevail! Prevail!
Much much love,
Holly
